The Remnant Trust, Winona Lake
Imagine seeing an early printing of the Declaration of Independence or a Bible printed in the 13th Century. They’re part of a growing collection of original and first edition works on display at this unique venue in Winona Lake. The works focus on the topics of liberty and dignity, and the Trust’s mission is to increase the public’s understanding of these ideals by viewing documents that have shaped the United States and the world.
You can take a guided tour of the gallery if you call ahead, but you also can stop by on your own to see the collection. The pieces, some dating to as early as 1250, include the Connecticut printing of the U.S. Constitution and one of only two copies in existence of the original Book of Enoch. You are encouraged to touch and read these original works. The Trust makes this collection available to colleges, universities, and other organizations for exhibitions each year. Check their website to find the upcoming schedule.
